Fluoridation in California
In 1995, Assembly Bill 733 became
law requriing all water systems in
California with 10,000 or more
service connections to fluoridate
their water supply when funding
becomes available. According to a
report issued by the Centers for
Disease Control (CDC) in 2006,
approximately 27% of residents in
California served by community
water systems receive water that
has been fluoridated. The CDC,
unfortunately, is very pro-fluoride,
and they are working hard to
increase that percentage to 100%.
